Confidence (For You I Will)

i heard this song on the radio two nights ago and i thought it was john mayer, and how the random guitar moments were great in the song,  but i had no idea what it was called. so i went through youtube and a bunch of online lyrics for john mayer songs and couldn’t find it. i finally went to this lyrics online search engine and i found out it’s not by john mayer, but by Teddy Geiger. For those of you who don’t know him, he was a short lived sensation a few years ago who sadly disappeared in a puff of hollywood lights. he was a great artist, like a younger (i dare say more attractive) version of john mayer (sorry john) with really, REALLY light blue/cloudy eyes. Photobucket So here’s Confidence by Teddy Geiger:

6 Months

This is a song by an up and coming band called Hey Monday. I found out about them on imeem and they have some cool music. this is definitely one of their mellow ones; most of the others are punk rock/pop kinda stuff which i like too. This is a warm-and-fuzzy-feeling kind of song. Again, if only i could play the guitar this well. AND sing this well.

Breathe (2 am)

This is a song about Anna Nalick. I hear it on the radio and each time I’m like ‘wow. this is a good song.’ Now i FINALLY know what it’s called.PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket

2 AM and she calls me ’cause I’m still awake,
Can you help me unravel my latest mistake,
I don’t love him, winter just wasn’t my season
Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes
Like they have any right at all to criticize,
Hypocrites, you’re all here for the very same reason

Chorus

‘Cause you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable
And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button girl,
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe, just breathe,
Whoa breathe, just breathe

May he turn 21 on the base at Fort Bliss
Just a day, he sat down to the flask in his fist,
Ain’t been sober, since maybe October of last year.
Here in town you can tell he’s been down for a while,
But my God it’s so beautiful when the boy smiles,
Wanna hold him, maybe I’ll just sing about it.

Chorus
(with change, “No one can find the rewind button boys,”)

There’s a light at each end of this tunnel, you shout
‘Cause you’re just as far in as you’ll ever be out
These mistakes you’ve made, you’ll just make them again
If you only try turning around.

2 AM and I’m still awake, writing a song
If I get it all down on paper, it’s no longer
Inside of me, threatening the life it belongs to
And I feel like I’m naked in front of the crowd
Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud
And I know that you’ll use them, however you want to

Cause you can’t jump the track, we’re like cars on a cable,
And life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button now
Sing it if you understand.
And breathe, just breathe
Whoa breathe, just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe.
